Culiacán, Sinaloa. Kuliakan Municipal Institute of Culture participates in the celebration of International Museum Day 2022Inviting us to reconsider the role of museums as incomparable places of discovery, they teach us about our past and open our minds to new ideas, two essential steps to building a better future. .
To do this, it has organized a reflection day “Museums have the power to change the world around us” from 16 to 21 May, with a program of virtual and face-to-face events, in collaboration with various institutions: Sinaloa. Museum of Art (MASIN), Interactive Museum of Addictions (MIA), Network of Museums of Mexico City, INAH-Sinaloa, Department of Ecology of the City Council of Culiacán, Sindicatura de Tacuichamona, Museo del Jaguar and Cronica de Sinaloa.
On International Museum Day 2022, this May 18, they will explore the potential of museums to drive positive change in their communities through three lenses: the power of sustainability, the power of innovation in digitization and access, and the power of community building through education.
The event begins with a virtual tour on Monday the 16th at 5:00 PM in collaboration with the Sinaloa Art Museum. It will be broadcast through IMCC Facebook. Talks and conferences are also integrated for the following days. The full program can already be seen on the said organization’s Facebook.
