According to local media, a 31-year-old man climbed a 25-metre-high cliff on Isla Malgrates, one of the region’s major tourist destinations, with the intention of making the triumphant jump to immortalize his courage on video.

At sea, the man was awaited by his wife and their son, who were on a small boat recording this great feat. However, nothing happened according to plan.

After making the big jump and just before hitting the water, the Dutchman hit a ledge on the cliff and then plunged into the depths of the ocean.

In a video that has been circulated on the social network, you can hear the loud jolt that the 31-year-old man produced after colliding with a huge rock cliff. “Oh my god!” to the terrified woman. Shouting is also heard. And then her husband’s body is seen falling in the sea. At that last moment the recording goes out of focus and is cut.

According to information published by the Huffington Post, the incidents took place on Thursday afternoon in the rocky area of ​​​​Kalvia Coast, on the above islands.
