Yesterday, in the municipality of Cosoleacaque, two communicators were shot dead while they were riding in a car parked in a convenience store.

The US diplomatic representative wrote, “The killing of journalists Yesenia Molinedo Falconi and Sheila Johanna García Oliveira was a cowardly and wicked act. It was an attack against the whole of Mexican society; and the international community that values democracy rejects it.”
As of now, by this 2022, in Mexico A total of 11 journalists have been killed.: Yesenia Molinedo Falconi, Sheila Johanna García Oliveira, Luis Enrique Ramírez Ramos, Jose Luis Gamboa, Margaret Martinez, Lourdes Maldonado, Roberto Toledo, Heber López, Jorge Luis Camaro, Juan Carlos Muoz and Armando Linares.
In this context, Le Salazar urged the Mexican authorities to implement actions aimed at ending the growing violence against the journalist union in the national territory.
“#PressFreedom is under attack and calls for an immediate response to end the escalation in violence against journalists,” the Biden administration official said.
Veracruz governor says there will be no exemption for killing journalists
