Zapopan, Jalisco.- In Jalisco’s Zapopan Municipality, a few steps from the educational campus where he was going to study, another 13-year-old fell victim to an insecurity today.
The attack took place around 7:00 am today, when a student of Basic Education was on his way to Secondary School No 114, which is located in the Agricola neighbourhood.
As per what was reported by the teaching staff of the said campus, the student had already reached the school facilities as an injured person to seek help, as the road on which he was traveling between truck stops , moments before he was assaulted, is located at the intersection of López Mateos and Emilio Portes Gil streets, and the complex is located at the intersection of Hortensia and Calle Obelisco.

Immediately, a call to the emergency line was issued, and an ambulance arrived at the school from Cruz Verde in the municipality of Zapopan, as well as elements of the Municipal Police. He also called up the parents of the minor and told them what had happened.
While attended by lifeguards, the minor reported that a subject, who was riding a bicycle, approached him after getting off the bus at the intersection of López Mateos and Emilio Portes Gil streets and asked him to give away all his belongings, However, he refused to do so.
Faced with resistance to an attack by a high school student, the thief attacked him with a knife and managed to inflict at least two wounds on him.
According to the medical report of the lifeguards, the minor presented with an injury to the right wrist as well as another wound in the chest on the same side.
After receiving first aid, the injured man was taken to Cruz Verde facilities, where he was accompanied by his parents and was found out of danger, as the injuries he inflicted were only superficial.
Police personnel patrolled the secondary school number 114 and the roads where the minor was injured without tracing the attacker.

The attack took place only today, when Jalisco Governor Enrique Alfaro Ramírez released his safety report, in which he acknowledged a 57 percent reduction in all robberies in the state in the four years of his government, he said.
